COD:AW optimisation

Again, problems with COD:AW

Recently upgraded to a R9 280 3GB and LOVE HER!!! Blasts through everygame I throw at her... but

on AW maps its almost unplayable... i.e. instinct, defender

FPS drops massively, stuttering all over the place etc

But then on most maps i.e detroit, solar etc... it runs at over 60fps...

what am i doing wrong?

Also your CPU could be culprit. I.e more cpu intensive maps.

Turn off one of the shader pre-fetch things.

What do you have the rest of the video settings at?
And what res you playing at?

My 6970 xfire setup is on par with your GPU and i get solid 90 FPS on all map but with slight dips on instinct and defender....everyone gets bad stutter at the start of those maps till the cpu usage settles down as its loading in the background still for around 60 seconds for me.

Use afterburner to monitor gpu usage and cpu usage in game via the on screen display so you can see what happening then just adjust settings so that gpu usage isn't hitting 100% (presuming it is)

As already said you may find high cpu usage is the problem especially during those maps.

I sorted it now. Dropped the FXAA to 0, dropped a couple of other settings.. just played instinct at 80fps no problems
