Hi guys, strange question but does anyone know how Blacl Ops will be delivered and how updates are done? e.g. will it be like COD5 WAW where you install and have to download your patches or will it be via Steam Client like COD6 MW2?

Also, does anyone know how the server selection is done? Not auto like on MW2 as that is pants! :D

I'm no expert but it will probably be a Steamworks title and will have a server browser.

There weren't any servers fro MW2.

Most constructive!

"There weren't any servers fro MW2." - You never played online multiplayer then? Server = Host and auto allocated by each user as the host player.

Looking at the production and developers being Activision and Treyach then it will more than likely be similar to COD5 WAW.

Discussion closed.

Why is it good news, not that I have anything against steam just don't like the fact that if I'm not buying a steam game, which this is not that I have to run steam to play it :(

Link, the first news post has nothing too official looking, the second relates to MW2

in fairness

i prefer to get my games on steam.
means i can play wherever i am work/home etc

also it means less clutter.

so if its a steamworks game, i do what i did with mw2, orange box, dawn of war2 etc

buy the game for cheap online, wait for it to arrive and link the code to my account. then throw away the disk because i dont need it as linking it to your account makes it useless.

i got DOW chaos rising for £15
its £29.99 on steam store, so that method makes sense.

i guess i just prefer steam over boxes tbh

Bah 2nd link was a dud, removing from original straight after posting this. Bit late so didn't read it properly obviously. :o

I totally agree. I'll wait a bit and find out for sure whether or not it includes Steamworks. :)

As far as the server goes, will check the demand. I know TFU etc may be hosting a server, but as I didn't host an MOH, surely it's nice to have a few different admins, so some can pay more attention to their few servers, right?
