COD Black Ops looks pretty good on PC

So much confusion regarding the PC Steam Unlock time! The steam forums are an utter **** storm!

Was going to stroll into town tonight with my housemates and grab a PC copy. On steam it says its unlocking in 15 hours which is 8am UK time. However rumour has it if you have a retail copy (from a shop) you can play immediately at midnight.

Before everyone shouts "OMFG MORON IT ALL GOES THROUGH STEAM YOU HAVE TO WAIT EVEN IF YOU HAVE RETAIL!!!!111ONE!1" read this topic:

Australia retail is now live, yet Australia steam version is not.

However long we have to wait, I sure hope its worth it.

If you know friends/family who work for supermarkets then get them to buy it for ya plus their discount...

My nephew did that. Younger bro works in Sainsbury's ordered the copy plus, 15% staff discount.

Yes Steam do give refunds on request for pre-orders.
 
Tesco delivery didn't happen today so I hope its tomorrow, got an email off them on Sunday morning to say it had dispatched but not got an email about the payment not being taken. Anyone know if it was all Tesco orders that weren't paid on dispatch or a certain amount of orders.
 
It appears my copy unlocked early somehow and I've just completed the SP campaign. So it's a bit short TBH. It's really great but I was surprised at the inclusion of the character sad keanu and all the pink unicorns really detracted from the story.

Been pwning on the multiplayer too now and love the new camo unlocks. The Camoe camo is weird though, as it just looks like someone's written "I'm not a shop" all over my gun. :(

gonna pick this up tomorrow i think, have to get it for my cousin for Xbox, but will be buying the PC version for myself...

My first ever bash at FPS on PC, im assuming its much nicer with a mouse! :)

EA get slimed when they miss their release date, Steam is worse. They take your money, give you a date, so you buy in and then Wallop! no working game. Better be worth waiting for. If anyone finds a dl for dedicated server, post it here pls :)
