Had another quick game. Not very favourable first impressions, it feels pretty clunky compared to MW2. Not as polished.

I find a lot my games run like ****e even when i have well over 60fps. All games nowadays are just shoddy ports. Im not talking about COD BO im talking about most games that get ported from the console.

i know its annoying BC2 is the same
over 80fps on average but most of the time it feels like 40fps

Use msi afterburner to monitor memory usage in game, id have thought it should run pretty well on your spec.

hmm just ran it and the peak usage was 320mb @ 1680 4xAA 3 bars Ansio and textures at normal

and it still stutters

not as bad as when textures were at high or extra but its still annoying

i might try a defrag my games hdd

Just installed my retail disk, which is linked through Steamworks and now playable Took about 20mins to install off the disk.

my i7 920 @ 4.2 and 460 @ 900 core is really struggling with this game

i think its the 1GB Vram on the 460

according to fraps im getting a constant 120fps (changed max fps in the cfg file to 120)

but even then the game stutters like mad
going to reduce the texture settings and AA down to see if that helps

It's not your card mate, it's the game. Its unplayable for me, stuttering every thirty seconds or so.

There's a fair amount of complaints on the Steam forums about it too.

Specs include i5 [email protected], 4GB/1600MHz and 470gtx@800/1600/2000.

Laggy netcode
Guns sound like popguns
Server browser is sluggish and unresponsive, ie. double clicking or selecting join, doesn't always work.

Not impressed :/

Maybe I will like it more by playing more, we'll see.
