I was talking about SP. MP does look pretty dated but SP looks ok considering the age of the engine. Over 7000 people from UK alone on the MP servers now its very easy to navigate the MP UI & already a little laggy plus snipers are making it tough ;)
 
MP is very laggy at the moment, some massive lag spikes were the game freezes for a few seconds.

Lots of people getting it.

Some people say not to moan because it's the first day, but in my eyes the netcode is the same as they have been using since COD2. So I think they should be on the ball by now.

I'd like to bet it's to do with steaming all the stats and the fact the game basically records your game while you play.

Weapon damage is failly low compared to MW2 and there's plenty of recoil on some weapons.
 
meh.. im getting uber lag spikes every 30 - 40 seconds.. really really annoying.. just played through the first 3 missions(ish) though, it is interesting but the menus are annoying such as you can't skip them :S

zombies is good, it's the same as the one in World at War but with new maps and weapons.

ill be trying the MP tomorrow (today)

im glad they added controller support

obviously im going to use KB/M for online play

but offline vs the bots ill use the controller

only because i want to get better at it so when i got around my mates house i can give him a good game on the 360/PS3
 
Nearly finished SP now. It flatters to deceive I'm affraid to say its pretty small.

CODMW2 & COD4 are far better SP experiences this is pretty lacking & those scenes in the gametrailers video were the highlights of the entire game :eek:
Looks like Activision pulled a fast one here by skillfully editing it to make the SP seem more enticing.

Overall its very lacking in any of the cinematical greatness & atmosphere both COD4/MW2 had for that alone its a letdown but the MP gfx are considerably worse than SP & MW2 is a long way ahead of this in every way I can think of :(

I would say its not anything more than an average game with a very dated engine & boring console focused gameplay.

I would give it 5/10 just for a few cool touches & being polished although its not without faults like several levels for no reason have major lag & mini spikes which cause serious stuttering & the gamepad has a major bug where you cannot even progress in 1 level without switching to the keyboard to operate a sling weapon :rolleyes:

This type of game is best left on consoles for 10 year olds I seriously doubt it will sell the 18M+ copies MW2 did ;)
 
MW2 was the only CoD in the whole series i never purchased as i got fed up with small overcrowded maps with everyone spamming nades at spawn points.

So i assume this one is the same ?

Made by Treyarch remember. No one is expecting it to be as good as MW2. To be honest, I thought WAW was better than COD4 in every way.
 
6:22am...not long till my steam version i paid an absolute premium for to get a hassle free midnight activation without trooping out in the psng rain is activated.....
