COD MF2 minor niggle

Hi I love MF2 fantastic game, works great on my lightly overclocked 8800gt, q6600 and 4gb ram with around 100fps when not in a fight.

Only thing is that around every 2-3mins the game has a massive slow down but its only for a couple of seconds, anyone got any ideas, every other game works fine...

Probably something running in the background on your system

Yh I checked, nothing there... its a new install of windows 7 so there is no crap on my computer atm... for now at least

Clean out your temp files, run disk clean up and defrag All drives, then test, if it still happens, then you need to look at whats running in the background and start disabling things one by one, testing the game each time till you find the culprit, but the fact it only affects the one game suggest its Steam or COD only related... try setting Steam to Offline mode and test it with your machine Off the network.
