Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is set to be release in Q4 2009, and Activision have claim it is "the most anticipated title of 2009".

But CoD is a simple, tried and tested formula, it works across all platforms. The cross platform issue doesn't really apply to CoD.

Being a player who has seen the CoD series develop from day one it hurts me inside to think they are going to make this game easier.

I still play vCoD to this day and its the best FPS to ever have been created.

If it is developed by Infinite Ward it will be a cracking game like 2+4 both were.

3+5 were created by some other studio just milking the name.

COD1 + 2 were both released years ago. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was COD4. I presume this'll be COD6...unless they're dropping the numbers and will do a gta and release COD5 years from now.

Yaay more console ported turd, ever since cod2 all we've got is shooters with more and more console elements intact.

I wouldn't say that, CoD4 feels very much dumbed down and much easier to kill people that CoD1 and CoD2.

Cod 2 was also a console port, imo everything after 1 and the addon was crap, the console elements of gameplay just flooded in after the original addon.
