FINALLY got online...but it's taking some getting use to, getting owned

How do I get better guns? Im having to use the basic 1s...any help?

Just watch out for all the miraculous grenade throws and insta-sniping, I'm sure it's just full of hackers now, I rarely get a good game.

They could just be that good, but it is abandonware as far as security fixes go. If you played it in its heyday then fair enough, but to start from scratch now pointless imo.

I play this on the 360 quite often. It's the best COD made for online play.

Best COD out there. Cant stand black ops.

Plenty of games out there to join. Often see the same players so more community feeling IMO which is a good thing.

All you need is an AK and you'll be alright. Dont follow the crowd and do your own thing.
Play objective matches so at least youll know roughly where the enemy spawn.
Most maps have a hot spot where the players seem to go. Work from the sides.
