Can any one help me shed some light on the hosting problem with the BTHomeHub as it will never let me host any games, it comes up with the "STRICT" nat in hte multiplayer menu, and have looked around and cannot find anything specific to solve it. Any ideas ?

Many Thanks

Wouldn't have happened if IW had put dedicated servers in their game...

how very useful.

had the same problem, generally resetting the router will fix it, otherwise make sure you have upnp turned on in the settings, and set a static IP adress for it.

if neither of those work try http://portforward.com/
to open up the needed ports. (i havent needed to try this yet)

You have to forward the ports on the HomeHub

That is easier said than done, you might have to reboot the HomeHub a couple of times if it locks up when you are trying to forward some ports. I've never had much luck with HomeHubs.

DMZ is the De Militarised Zone on your router. I wouldn't personally be happy putting my PC in it, an XBox maybe, not a PC though.

i'm getting the nat strict, the upnp is open, i even tried DMZ turned off and the firewall, still no look. Anyone got any idea's?

Welcome to the fun world of Homehub. If it's in a DMZ have fun assigning ports to your pc everytime you restart your hub. Because for some reason it can't keep them assigned to MAC addresses and does it to IP addresses, which in a DMZ, change.

Yeah what Tobes said is correct, i moved around my pc and router, meaning unplugging it. I restart my router once everything is in place and now it's strict again. *Sigh* Homehub.

In exactly the same position, I have a Home hub and experience the same strict issue, I have no other problems with ANYTHING about the homehub or software/computers that use it or other P2P games

Theres two possible reasons for strict, software firewall on your PC or router ports, I have turned off the firewall to test with no change and I have forwarded the ports for MW2 with no change, I also tried both at once nothing helped

Don't put your PC in the DMZ just for hosting its really really not worth it :D, the homehub is meant to have UPnP obviously doesn't like MW2 who does with no servers ;)

If you find anything drop me a message

Your meant to restart ANY router from the plug switch after making changes to it
