COD MW2 disc 2...HELP!!!!

right, this is getting a bit tedious now...

I tried to run the install and suffered what seems like pretty regular problems, steam servers not playing, downloading the disc which is in the drive etc.

I've figured this out now and can get it to install form the disc fine...until it needs disc 2. no matter how many times I eject it and put it back in, or how long i leave it sitting in the drive it doesnt recognise disc 2 being there.

I unistalled MW2 completely and rebooted my computer, put disc 2 in and...nothing. windows explorer sees an empty disc drive, ive tried installing it again and exactly the same thing happens, tell me I havent been sent a blank disc!!

erm...keep trying I suppose, theres a fair few people have had that problem in the MASSIVE 'official' thread, have a read. I think it may just be the first time you try after installing steam it tries to download it, exit steam and start again form the disc, that worked for me.

It's pretty useless when CD 2 is non-existen though!!

I've just tried it in my laptop and it saw disc 2 fine, didnt install anything, just checked that it came up in windows. At least I know theres stuff on there now, just a case of getting my PC to see it! wierd considering I've never had any problems with my CD drive and disc 1 is still working fine in it.

This is ridiculous tbh

you say you had the same problem, as in disc 2 not working or the afore mentioned problems of downloading something you've bought?

If its the disc 2 problem I'll try leaving my pc on overnight and see what its like in the morning, then try re-inserting it a few times if nothing has happened by then. Although I've been doing that for a few hours now.hmmm....
