CoD MW2 Windows 7 64 Bit Fraps FPS Issue.

Hey everyone, I recently updated from 32 bit vista to 64 bit windows 7, I like to fraps my game play and post online at youtube, my FPS while recording with vista was great, hardly felt the impact at all, but it seems I just flop down to 40, this might not be severe to you guys, but for a person that is used to being capped at 91 FPS it really affects my gameplay.

I origonally upgraded to 64 bit in order to exceed the 4 GM RAM limit with 32 Bit OP's I am going to be running 6 GB of ram in the next few weeks when my freind decides he is ready to sell them too me.

My rough computer spec is below, ( what I remember off by memory ) I will update them precicly when i get home.

2.5 GB RAM

Asus MB

Duo Core Intel E*** @3GHz ( Not overclocked )

Nvidia 9800 GT

Primary HDD for OP, programs, secondry 250 samsung HDD for footage and fraps recordings.

22 Inch Hanspree monitor

Thats all I can remember or think is relevent, please just ask for any additonal information if needed, and I will be updating the spec as soon as I get home.

What I would like to know is, if there is any way to improve Windows 7 performance using fraps / FPS in game performance.

Is there anything I can do with in game settings, fraps settings, or my Nvidia drivers.

If none of that helps me, its clear i need to upgrade my PC on the hardware side, if i do could i get some advice on which part of my PC I will be needing to upgrade. I recently ran a CPU meter while recording in fraps, and it showed my CPU reaching 60 % - 70 % usage, although my RAM usage was sitting on 95 % - 99 % I think its clear that my RAM is currently holding me back but when i go from my current 2.5 GB to 6 GB in the near future will that solve my problem or will i need to upgrade my PC further, Video card or Processor ..

Did you have half resolution record on before?

I have a pretty high spec PC, quite a bit faster than yours, and it still takes a good fps dive even at 1680x1050, let alone 1920x1200 when recording in MW2 unless I enabled half res.
 
If by that you mean selecting to record half screen in the fraps settings then yes i am happy with recording at half screen it suits my needs and did so when i had vista, and since windows 7 is more memory efficient i really cant see why i am worse off now.
