Has anyone else had problems with connecting to multiplayer? I have seen this problem is pretty common on the official MW3 forums, but is usually due to the ISP.
Basically when you try to click play it says 'Connecting to Online Services...' and then after a good minute or so says the COD servers must be down, which they aren't.
I've tried:
- Disabling internet sharing (this worked for some people)
- Connecting via ethernet rather than Wi-Fi
- Setting up my PC on DMZ
- Forwarding ports 3074 and 27000-27050
- My router's encapsulation is set as LLC
- Turning off Windows Firewall
- Turned uPnP on, and tried it with it off
I am on TalkTalk using a Belkin Wireless N router (F5D8635-4v1) with firmware version 1.00.17. I connect over PPoE and my MTU is 1432. I know some people using Orange as their ISP have had difficulty but the solution to their problems was to make sure their encapsulation was LLC as it wasn't by default.
I really want to play this game online, and I am sick of playing Survival one-player when I could be playing with friends.
