Id buy it if they made it so pc players can play in matches with console players. I still wait to see a good game to do that. Then there is a reason not to have dedicated servers.

Id like to do that as none of my mates have a PC powerful enough to run games like that and instead have a ps3 or xbox so it would be cool to get together no matter what format your on so that your friends group isnt fragmented?

Con's of no dedi servers:
More lag
Host advantage
Migrating hosts when someone rage quits
No way to ban hackers in a game
CAN take ages to join a game if a lobby keeps dropping you out
No choice of which map to play

Pro's of no dedi servers:
Can SOMETIMES join a game 1 minute faster than going through the server list
