CoD2 crashes while loading map

Since I installed 1.2 patch, its sooo annoying. Anyone know what causes this? It'll start fine first time but after the first rotation it stops on the progress bar for the map

any ideas?

using X2 3800+ and a 7900GT, latest 64 drivers.

Patch wasn't called AFAIK and no I don't use a WS.
