Hi Dudes,
My mate sent me a LEGIT copy of COD2 as he got it free with a GFX card he got for a Build, Anyways.
I cannot instal it and get the following error;
1607: Unable to Install Installshield Scripting Runtime.

I have odviously Googled and Searched my Bits off tried the suggested fixes and am now at a loss.
I could do with any easily explained fix or i am not going to be able to try this.
Thanks in advance and Kudos to whoever comes up with the Fix.

Use a program like Alchohol 120% or Daemon tools and make an image of it on your hard drive, and then mount it and install it that way. See if it's anything. Sounds as if it cant load the installer.

This problem may occur if one of the following conditions is true:
• You run the Setup program from a virtual drive created through the subst command.
• The driver IDriver.exe is not registered correctly.
• The installer Msiexec.exe is not registered correctly.
• The user account does not have permission to access the C:\Windows\Installer folder.
• An older version of the Windows Installer engine was installed from a network drive that is no longer available.
• The user account does not have permission to install software on the computer.
• Another instance of Msiexec.exe is running.
• Another Windows Installer-based Setup program is running.
• Windows XP is damaged

Reinstall the InstallScript engine
To reinstall the InstallScript engine from InstallShield Developer, follow these steps:
1. Click Start, click All Programs, point to Accessories, and then click Windows Explorer.
2. Open the following folder: C:\Program Files\InstallShield\Developer\Redist\Language Independent\i386.
3. Double-click Isscrpt.msi.
4. Follow the instructions that appear on the screen

Well i finally found the fix and got it sorted at 7.06pm. Have been playing single player which i must say it Excellent so far.

Heres what fixed mine.
