COD4: creek map/sound problem

so every time i try and play this map or when it loads, my sound is completely destroyed and its very cracking and popping and almost sounds like a tape player running out of batteries when it sorta wines and changes pitch.

im using onboard realtek hd sound alc 883.

anyone else had a problem.

Have you tried rolling back the patch and reinstalling it?
