I'm having problems where some multiplayer maps will take ages to load and in some cases the progress bar will freeze until the drive steps down to a slower speed, is anyone else getting this? I've already tried tweaking my laser but it doesn't appear to have helped.
Cod4 Disc Issues?

my disc keeps saying unread, tho it hasnt come out of my 360 since i bought the game. I think my laser is scratching it or something as theres a funny mark in a nice circular pattern

If it looks like the above then I would get your 360 replaced tbh. I believe any game published by MS they will give you replacement media for a tenner, but for other games (like your COD4) you are stuck and will eventually have to get yourself a new disc.
It is not an uncommon problem from what I have read over the last couple of years as many people have had similar issues and the replacement program was in response to this (partly I think). (MS offering to replace discs for a tenner each almost implies guilt, but not enough to stand up in court
