CoD4 - Dumb question1

Which directory are the multiplayer save kept in and what are they called please.

I have just upgraded the families PC's to W7 and my son is asking where his top level bod is!!!

I have the original hard disc that the game was previously on [I gave him a new 1tb disc when I installed Windows].

Please HELP!

That should be there when you log in online, or its in with the save. Sorry I can't help much, I own this on a 360, so I don't know much about it on PC

It should still be stored in c:\Users\(Name)\appdata\Local\Activision\ directory under CoD4, if you can't find the appdata folder you need to show hidden folders in Tools->Folder Options.

Its held locally on the computer online in

X:\Users\(Name)\appdata\Local\Activision\

The appdata folder is hidden.

In the folder where cod is installed, there's a "players" folder, and in that a "profiles" folder, just copy everything in there over to your new install and it should be good to go

Is this the steam version or not?

Mine isn't the steam version. Now I don't know if I'm right or not please come back

With my non steam version. I did a copy of the profile folder everything working ok on new Win 7 install.(rank/level,ect).

I don't have steam version and mine is here too, WaW is in the appdata folder but CoD4 is in the game folder.

Had a similar problem, backed up contents 1 week prior to moving to win7, lost the previous weeks progress / upgrades!
