COD4 Error

Im trying to install COD4 onto my pc but keep getting errored half way through. Anybody know what these mean?

Change the DMA setting on the CD-ROM drive (Click here for Vista, XP, 2000)
1) Right-click on the My Computer icon and select Properties.
2) Click the Device Manager tab and click the plus sign next to the CDROM entry.
3) Double-click on your CD-ROM drive.
4) Click the Settings tab on the CD-ROM Properties window.
5) Change the DMA setting. If it is checked then uncheck it. If it is unchecked then check it.
6) You may need to restart your computer for the change to take affect.

Ive done up to 4).. I have no settings tab.. any ideas?

is there a link where it says "(Click here for Vista, XP, 2000)" ?

iirc u can change the DMA settings on the IDE controller in device manager, or in the BIOS

3) Go down the list and find IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers.

i have a sata hard drive is that has anything to do with that being IDE?
