One of my major annoyances is the limited number of classes you can have. Is there any way to run multiple sets of classes for different types of game plays?

I don't think so. You get more in COD5.

The only fix i know about is to make a new proflie, then copy over your STATS file. You can make upto 6 profiles i think, so theres 30 classes for you to enjoy
