COD4 Issues

Wasn't really sure where to put this.

Seems like COD4 will load without fail or problems when starting from the Single Player exe. When loading the game from the multiplayer exe I usually but not always get frame rate issues on the menu screen that will carry on into game should I choose to join a server. Now I can run the game and have before quite easily with 100+ FPS. I'm thinking maybe its something to do with my network and conflicting with COD4 since it only happens on the multiplayer start up.

Punkbuster is fully up to date as far as I know and not blocked by my firewall. I have steam running also but the game is not attached to steam, it was bought and is used standalone.

Has anyone experienced anything like this with COD4?

You posted in the wrong section mate.

Make sure your antivirus/firewall is not blocking COD4 and punkbuster a+b.

Check your graphics settings in the multiplayer menu. If you have them set too high for your rig, you can have these problems. Try setting everything to lowest detail and see if the issue goes away.
