COD4 LAN ?

Quick question regarding playing COD4 via lan , is there a way to add bots for the multiplayer maps ?

My young son wants to play the game but i dont really want him playing online yet as he has a habit of TKing his own team on purpose, plus MP is a little hard for him yet and finally hes not interested in the actual single player COD4 game,he just wants to play what i play lol

any ideas ? :)
 
unfortunately i don't think its possible.

the last game i played that allowed you to use "bots" was battlefield vietnam but there might be others.
 
Not meaning to offend, but that's a bit sad, what's the point??? I can understand the odd accident, especially on hardcore!

I got stuck with a team of young Yanks last night doing this on Search and destroy... most annoying match yet, never got to fire a shot :(
 
well he tried online last night and its simply to hard for him , hes 3 lol

he can play BF2 against the bots just fine and on BF2 i can join in via lan and help him fight the bots , i was hoping for something similar with COD4 but doesnt look like thats gunna be the case

oh well thx for the replies anyway :)
 
He's 3, LOL, well.. yes a bit too young for online. What about CS:S? You can do it over LAN against bots, and even stop the bots from having guns etc, he might enjoy that..

haha my 4 year is the same with the COD on the PS3. Ends up shooting everybody and anybody

he quite often ends up shooting the sky as well lol :D

No idea how it works though :(
 
There are some servers online which run bots, can't remember any names though. And from the COD4 forum at Infinity Ward:

Mite try CS:S actually thanks for the suggestion , ive only got one copy of HL2 tho so will i still be able to set it up on 3 different machines or would i need 3 copies of the game ?
