COD4 on PC or Xbox 360

I know this is a PC website so I am aware I may get bias opinions but should I get COD4 for the PC or 360?

Which format is better & does the PC version carry DX10 compatibility?

If you're fussed about multiplayer you want the PC version because it has dedicated servers.

Plus the PC version looks considerably better than the 360 version.

There is a PC and Console section so we're not all PC fanatics here

I don't think COD4 is DX10 from memory. I have played the PC version and im sure its the exact same as the 360 version, but i will probably get the 360 version purely for the multiplayer experience over Live with friends.

I always go for PC when I can for FPS - I find it hard to play FPS games on the 360

I'll go against the grain and say that I bought it on the 360 despite having a decently spec'ed PC.

There's a huge appeal for me in being able to sit back on the sofa or even lie on my bed after a long day at work and a hard session at the gym and enjoy shooting at ragheads in widescreen and surround sound.

I do prefer mouse + keyboard for FPS effectiveness but by using a controller you aren't at a disadvantage on the 360 because everyone else is using one too.

I can't game like that anymore, I lose interest very quickly, especially with shooters. Can just about do it with FIFA.

Yeah sitting back on a sofa is no way to play an FPS IMO.

I too like sitting on the sofa ... but not for FPS

Many other games to chill with e.g. assassins creed will be my next sofa chill game

There is yet to be a console game on any of the next gen that has made me want to buy one if there were lagless wrestling or 3d fighter games i might PC is better for online gaming by far crazy that you must pay to play games like cod 4 online.
SO get it on pc.

There's not 1 good reason to get it on 360, after all he has a good PC to run it on too.

Unless he wants worse graphics, controller and no dedicated servers plus a limit of 24 players per server, the PC version has 48 player servers already and no doubt that 64 ones are on the way.
