COD4 on veteran - War Room

This level is completely killing me, I've completed the game before on the PC but I've gone in for the achievements on the 360. I've got to war room and its almost impossible to keep moving fast without getting randomly shot by some AI.

Any hints or tips? The usual common sense approach of clearing the room is just going too slowly and I can't get to the room in time without the timer expiring!

The best advice is smoke/flash and run whilst taking out as many threats as possible. You have to reach certain points at certain times for the checkpoints to trigger.

once you reach the opposite hallway the enemies should stop respawning. go around the left side taking out enemies as you go then in the small office hide and when you see the chance run across as fast you can
