COD4 settings

Dynamic lights would be muzzle flashes and light given off from fire ect, glow just adds a weird glow type effect around characters I believe.

i would keep dynamic lights set to normal as it is really all bout shadows and how light reacts with the , well area.

glow ... i decided to turn this on because it didnt make me lose any fps so im not to bothered.

its specular mapping and depth of field which im wondering about

Not worried about gaining any fps, average about 120 at the moment. I meant that by taking glow off, I find that hdr is reduced as I look outside a building. Tend to not get blinded by the sun, which is a pain, and puts you at a dissadvantage.

Only way to turn hdr off totally from i've read is through a console command, which punkbuster doesnt like.

I thought www.tweakguides.com would have a COD4 section but it doesn't.
The quote below is what it says about COD2

Dynamic Lights are lighting effects which interact with surrounding objects. For example, the way the muzzle flash from guns light up surrounding areas, the way in which explosions shed light, etc. The options here are Off, Low, Normal and High. In general the higher the setting, the more objects cast dynamic lights. However even at Low the most obvious dynamic lighting (muzzle flash for example) is visible, and higher settings will have a noticeable negative performance impact in areas with multiple light sources/weapons - so if you need the FPS set this to Low for a good balance of image quality and performance. This setting will also further impact on performance if Shadows is enabled
