Finally got a chance to play CoD4 after spending way too much time playing WoW and LotRO. just wanted to say I think its such a good game! nice variety of missions (loved the air support mission where you have to kill troops on the ground using IR vision in the aircraft with 3 different guns etc)

also if u die you dont start from the beginning, graphics are awesome and its action packed! hope they make more games like this....cant wait for CoD5.

I also found the game not too long which is good but because it such a good game im quite sad its now finished lol

anyway just thought id big up the game so go out and buy it people so the developer can see they did something right and make more games :)
 
I found the single player experience far to scripted to rave about it. It offered nothing new & after playing it I still yearn for COD1. The maps are far to small & the AI are Crap.
Multiplayer is pretty good initially but there is not enough variation to keep me playing it. I went back to BF2 online within weeks.
Having said all that it is a Must have game & the Single player Has to be played.
 
hehe i dont play FPS's in multiplayer as im really bad at them and get killed really qwik (im into MMO's for multiplayer action) so that part of the game doesnt appeal to me.

yes CoD4 is too short in SP...i just wanna play more of it but then i think about other FPS i played and think about how i finished them (FEAR, crysis, bioshock) just so i could uninstall them to make space for new games.
 
I had the game since release but only just tried the multiplayer a few days ago, Give it a shot, It is suprisingly addictive :p Has a nice little XP system too which is nice for a MMO player like myself

COD5 is not being made by the same development team, it is being developed by Treyarch.

Infinity Ward developed COD4 while Treyarch developed COD3 which in my opinion was PAP, there was not a PC version either.

Rumours have it the deal for COD5 was signed before Activision saw how good COD4 was and saw how well received it would be.

Rumours are also saying that Infinity ward are onboard for COD6.

I can see why they are using 2 different devs as it reeduces the time between releases BUT I would have preferred to wait for another Infinity Ward sequel.
 
if you dont mind down grading your graphics a bit, you could check out cod 1 plus the expansion pack and co2 as well. Still got some good single player despite the age,

was bout to say this lol, cod5 probs wont be good at all, they could see cod2 being a far better game than cod3, i guess its all a money game, more games out
faster = more money

cod2 is a lot better multiplayer imo for the op, cod1 good as well, id check them out :) sp campaigns always good too (if its infinity ward)
 
cod4 single player is prob best game ive played this year on pc....online is rubbish tho im not into run n gun and camping.....

bf2 still holds the title of best online fps i think

edit: and i heard the next installments of COD are going back to original states (cod 1,2,3)
