COD4 (XBOX360) Question

Just wondering do you guys think "call of duty 4" multiplayer has another 6-12 months playabailty left ?

I've tried and tried to like COD5 online and It just hasnt got that COD4 magic for me.

PS-why did I sell it lol.
 
there are a lot of people like you who didn't move onto cod:waw. so i assume there will be some activity on cod4. they also have a update planned (new modes) if i remember correctly.
 
Definitely still has a lot of life left in it, a lot of people prefer it to CoD:WaW.

Edit: 44377 players online on CoD4 at the moment :)
 
Difficult one for me, I'd say yes but the lack of new maps or any on the horizon stops me from replaying it. When you have racked up 10 days playing the same tired maps it gets a bit boring.

Even the maps they released where pretty crap.

Every single angle is known on 4 which makes it a bit dull and predictable.

If Infinity ward had just released a 8-10 map pack for 4, I think most would have been happy. I like both games though.
 
I would say it will be going for another 6 months at least.

A lot of people prefer it over WaW, but I imagine more will gradually move over in the future.
 
Aye, I'd say COD4 has 6-12 months left in it. I never moved onto COD5 from 4. Just wasn't my type of game. COD4 is pretty much the perfect MP FPS Console game.
 
I've only just started playing Cod4 online last week (having completed the SP in January) and I'm loving it... wished I had started sooner! Just today I earned enough XP to unlock the final two game modes. Out of the three modes I have tried Team Domination seems to give the most XP :)

Ah yes, I got it the wrong way round :)

This will give you long time players a short laugh...

I tried sabotage for the first time today and within a few minutes I had managed to kill the opposing team's bomb carrying guy. I then picked it up and made my way over to the target and planted it. Just as I was backing off to defend it I see someone run up to it and pull out a briefcase just like I had a few seconds ago. It wasn't until he finished his business and the red text came up in my cross-hair that I finally twigged that it was the opposing team diffusing the bomb. By then it was too late and he headshot me before I pulled my trigger. Before you ask, no his outfit didn't give it away because I hadn't been paying attention as to which side I was on :D
 
I love how all the things I have to hear people bitch about in COD4 games has suddenly dissapeared since Waw and it's become the complete online shooter lol :p
 
Most people haven't played it since then. Apart form you 5 no one on my friends list from here has touched 4 much since last xmas, which makes me more right than wrong.
 
A quick aside...

As a 360 owner with a long-time love for mouse and keyboard, how does COD4 translate onto the Xbox? I can't imagine trying to line my crosshairs up with the gamepad?
