So i came back cribbs in bristol last night and it soaking everywhere and i hit a massive puddle on the way back near home. i popped out again and as i got down the road i felt almost a total loss of power, kind of like when you are using the last bit of fuel and its trying to get power but failing.

Left it over night as i have had some suggestions of what was wrong and was told to leave it and a few other things altho i had to go for a short drive just now and it was still sputtering and not responding very well at time to giving some throttle and as i pulled up the check engine light came on.

i checked the code and it was 43 which is fuel supply system problem so im told.

what could this mean ????

Sounds like the kind of problem that you'd be much better asking at a civic owners forum.

Bit of a long shot on a general motors forum.

I would guess you either got water in the air intake, or got the spark plug / coil packs wet.

i did ask on a civic site but theres less people on there so it generally takes a longer to get a reply where as its usually pretty busy in here.

i thought about a soaked intake (as it a long CAI, sits behind bumper)and also someone said about sparks and wiping the dizzy cap clean (dunno where or what it is).

just wondering what you guys might think

I'd go over the plugs and distributer with water repellant (wd40). The open up the intake and make sure there is no water in it. Any water getting in there could have a very bad effect.

Then go for a drive and give it a few revs. Make sure it gets nice and hot.
