Hi,
I installed IE7 Beta 2 preview today and after about an hour my firewall (kerio) advised me that it had blocked an intrusion attempt under it's Host Intrusion Protection System section.
The affected application was IE7 and it was apparently a code injection attempt. This has never ever happened before so I have one or two questions...
1) Is it serious? I've gone back to IE6 for now, so perhaps it's just a security hole in IE7? It is only a beta preview after all.
2) what is code injection? I can take an educated guess, but wouldn't mind knowing whether this was as a result of an outside force, or something on my PC already, or just a flaw in IE7.
I'm using a NAT router and then have Kerio running as well, so I'm inclined to think it wasn't from the outside, but you never know!
Thanks in advance
