Is there a portable code reader you can buy that will tell you fault codes and allow you to reset them, that will work on different marques?
Maybe the investment would be worthwhile rather than having to take your car to a garage and get charged the £40 odd for the privilege.

Yes, plenty, but few do more than the EOBD stuff on each car.

What car/make are we talking about? Some units may be better suited to you than others.

You can buy one on the high street from the retailer that uses a ticket based collection queue. Collection point B pls - scramble haha

Nothing in particular, just thinking in general, use it on friends and family cars too.
