Hi All I know this has been asked before ,but i can,t seem to find a recent thread ,what is the best or most used Codec Pack ? thanks in advance :)

Shark 007 if you do need to install any. You shouldn't for most things though.

Not sure why this is in networking though?

Use MPC-BE or VLC as your video player and you won't need codecs.

Manually install any codecs you need for encoding.

VLC will handle most stuff you are likely to encounter for mainstream viewing.

I still throw K-Lite on (with lots of stuff option) with MPC though personally - though you have to be a little careful to avoid variants floating around with adware, etc.

This. It's not 1999 any more - most players include any necessary codecs for decoding. Codec packs install every codec under the sun, which normally ends up creating conflicts.
