Codec packs

Well i bet its been asked million times but im thick lol
Well which Codec pack do you guys recommend
Im wanting a full pack that dont put too much uneeded stuff on my pc.

So will this play all my dvds on pc that have been converted to Avi files?

I have just re installed all my pc and in the process of sorting my films out but wmp wont play them as there is a codec missing

Well im still only on Xp pro
So whatever you guys recommend will be taken into account
