Codec Packs

I'm going to do a re-install of 8.1 soon so do we need them anymore? It's something I've always installed for years but not sure if they're actually needed so much nowadays. I always used sharks in the past with MPC-HC player.

Up to you, MPC-HC does have LAV filters built in, but I like installing the seperate package as it's usually more up to date and allows you to fiddle with the codec settings.

Which package do you use for codecs?
