I use Ace Mega Codecs pack, always been good to me if you add the Quicktime + Real alternatives

Personally, I find it better to download the individual codecs as I need them. Ogg, RealAlternative, QuicktimeAlternative, DivX, XviD, erm think that's it.

Yup.
From that list you don't need Divx or Xvid codecs, FFDSHOW will play them both. Depends on the appliation, you might need directshow filters for OGG/FLAC/MPC. Winamp won't need any (except FLAC plugin) but for my HTPC I did need directshow filters. Needed VLC for Elephants Dream, not sure what audio/video codec that is (according to Gspot it should work on the system)

You dont need 60 different mpeg codecs etc .. .1 will do fine :rolleyes:
