thanks - I use windows media player classic light plus some external codecs.
been clearing out my registry and a LOAD of codecs are in my startup (I am using winxp32 - still need to upgrade!!!). Looks like I will get removing........
i found LOADs believe it or not............can't list them now cos i am not at my PC but there were at least 20 from windows media player classic k-lite, which is annoying cos i took them off and the player wouldn't work anymore
honestly they are there and when I disable them (around 20) the media player doesn't work........
well i had a malware thingy and one thing turned to another - don't worry i'm not removing EVERYTHING, mostly doing stuff on startup but it is still part of the registry
