Can someone please explain to me just how the Core i3's integrated GPU works? I'm assuming that it, in conjunction with a suitable chipset, merely does the same job as any other integrated chipset but is on the processor rather than the board?

Is it any good? I'm not interested in overclocking it at all as it would be going inside a very small case (Hoojum Cubit 3 if anyones seen one) and I'm more interested in how it'd fare for HD movies etc as I don't game at all on the PC any more apart from the occasional 90's console ROM.

I'd also be interested in what the TDP is for the chip as I'd have to extensiely modify the internals of the case to fit anything remotely large cooler wise as it's designed around low profile coolers (I'm currently running a T7200 mobile chip which is being cooled by an almighty 40mm (yes 40mm) fan!

Thanks

Andy

Thanks guys.

Zotac have a H55 ITX board planned as a replacement for the 775 board that has gone AWOL from everywhere at the moment, and as I'm quite happy running the T7200 atm I'm in no rush to get anything right away :)
I've recently nicked the ATI 4670 from my Cubit for use in another rig and noticed how much quieter it is which is why I was considering an AIO solution to be honest (amongst other reasons), but I might just stick a passive 4670 in there or wait for the 5670 and leave it at that for the minute.

Thanks again

If I can find another Cubit 3 I might as well build another rig but with a bit more oomph than my last one! Bugger it, I'm going to plan a Core i5 build for the fun of it! :D
