Coffee machine/going on holiday

I have a Rocky/Silvia combo. I'm off on a group holiday this Saturday. I love espresso, but don't know what to do.

I've just spent a couple of nights at a motorbike rally, and have only been able to drink instant coffee. Not particularly nice. I'm now faced with a similar dilemma, but for a whole week.

Do I;

Take my machines with me, but end up making coffee for at least 4 other group members (not that's really a problem, but I'm sure much mikey taking would ensue)

Buy a Moka pot, practice over the next couple of days, and take that instead. (Don't they come in different sizes?)

Use a French press.

Stop being such a prima donna and drink instant all week.

I'm not a fan of long coffees - I only ever drink espresso at home, but a French press would, of course, be better than instant.

What would fellow coffee enthusiasts do? If I go down the Moka Pot route, where can I get one quickly (from a store, not the internet)

Many thanks

Quink :)

I know there if the excellent catch all coffee thread, but I felt this didn't really fit in there.

I have a six-cup version, and every Saturday I brew all six cups and pour it into a giant mug. Perfect. :)

John Lewis do them if you can get to one, but they'll be pricier than you can find them online no doubt.

What kinda of holiday is it ? will there not be any place that sell's espresso , it might even be good if its local too

Buy local fresh-brewed coffee or take a French Press.

I can live without my grinder for a while if I need to buy grounds from a shop. It's not that much of a difference.

This is a good idea, or even pour it into a thermos so you have hot coffee all day (if you do not want to share)

Cheers for all the ideas/options.

Going to a coffee shop wouldn't really be an option - little one is usually up at 6-6.30 and I need a coffee to get me going :D:D It would also bankrupt me :o

I'll look further into some of the above ideas.

Many thanks :)

Cheap unbreakable and makes a great cup if you use extra fine ground beans take about 30s-1min to drain thought so not much tannin extracted but good flavor .

Sorry didn't read thread though the red fold up thing above also looks great
