Hi guys. I just got a new coffee machine and I love it! I've never used one before and there's something I really would like to know.

Can you start the brewing process without any water in the machine? Basically, when I press the on button it the "on" button and "warming" button both light up. These both stay on for 2 hours after which time they turn off. However I woud like to be able to turn it back on later and reheat any coffee still in the jar. The only way to get the warming light on is to press the on button which starts the brewing process, but I'm not sure whether the process actually needs water. I'm thinking it doesn't because I don't do anything different if I put in enough for 2 cups of 12. If I can press the on button without worry then I can reheat my coffee.

The machine I have is the morphy richards 47077.

Thanks in advance :)

No. Just no. Do not reheat coffee.

To be fair, even leaving it for 30 minutes in the pot on the heater is too much. Want to drink fresh coffee? Then drink FRESH coffee. Leaving it just kills the flavours.

If you want to keep it warm, a good vacuum flask with preferably a glass liner is best. Preheated of course.

V60, aeropress or chemex may have been the better option than a fully automated machine.
