Anyone tried putting coffee grounds, into a protein shake with ice and either water or skim milk? I would think this might actually be good, and add a little extra shot of energy to shakes.

Might be worth considering caffeine in powder form to add to a shake if you want an extra kick.

Last week, I very nearly died after mistakenly mixing in about 12 grams of caffeine (about 12000 mg's) by mistake with my 5g's of creatine - I had intended to take 12g's amino acids with the creatine. Simply put, the caffeine content was the equivalent of downing about 60 straight cans of red bull all at once, and along with a powerful transporter of sorts in creatine monohydrate. As a result, according to the doctors that treated me: - I narrowly avoided death - I narrowly avoided extreme damage to my heart - I narrowly avoided brain damage - I narrowly avoided heavy kidney damage - The lining in my stomach has been destroyed (but will repair itself in time) - I have suffered significant muscle breakdown all over my body as a result of a massively elevated cardiac enzyme (the fight or flight response) which started to breakdown my muscle tissue for fuel as it was t

Seems way cheaper than getting tablets though i'll have to buy some

You definitely need some digital scales if you plan on using caffeine powder, my mate bought some and just took a teaspoon even though he'd lived with me for 3yrs and always seen me using digital scales and taking tiny amounts of powder :o

Surely i'd be okay just using a mini scoop and having an ounce of common sense? (excuse the pun)

Yeah you could, mini scoops weren't about the last time I bought a bag so a cheap set of digital scales was my only option. They do come in useful if you buy a lot of stuff in powder rather than caps though.
