So I usually use Club Prett for 5 coffees a day every day and it's £30, it wasn't bad value, however their subscription is changing from 1st Sept to £5 per month for 50% off up to 5 drinks a day, so it is vastly not as good value!

Now I didn't know Leon had a subscription service for £25 a month for 5 coffees a day and this has been going on for years.

How does Leon's coffee compare to Prett?

Am I right in thinking the Pret sub offered five coffees a day over a month so potentially 150 coffees a month for £30? If so that’s 20 pence a coffee rather than £3-£4?

Quite the bargain so no wonder they changed it! I’ll be honest though even at 20 pence a coffee I wouldn’t buy it!!!

Go to a decent independent and pay the money for a really good cup!

if you work within walking distance of a Pret I'd say 5 coffee's a day isn't too much, one on the way to work, one mid morning, one at start of lunch, one at end of lunch, one on way home from work.

On first glance, spending £30 a month on a sub to give me coffee seems an insane waste of money. To have to drink 5 a day as well is kind of a commitment I would not want. What if you want to like... sleep that day? ;) I don't think 5 x a day is all that healthy. The most I would ever have is perhaps 4 hot drinks a day but I tend to drink tea and coffee.
But then if you do drink coffee at least a few times a day, I can see how that massively adds up. I know people in London that don't have subs and simply buy at least 2 x coffees a day. That's about £6 per day. I mean I don't know if they can't math or if they are just cool with the cost because per month that must add up some. Like probably over a ton. Same with lunches though. Lots will happily go and buy nice London lunch food at £5-£10 per day. Then there's me with the Tesco meal deal. :)

Every job I've ever been at except one, I got infinite free hot drinks. I guess I should be thankful. That combined with a Nespresso machine and I'm generally happy enough. I mean it's not awesome coffee with Nespresso, but it's between good and very good tasting imo, and the ease of use/ownership is top.

He might drink decaf though
No one does though, except me, and that's only because I want to be able to (very rarely now) have a giant white chocolate mocha randomly in the evening and not have it keep me up.

I largely stopped caffeine after I realised the amount I'd have in the morning/lunch was the reason I always felt poop in the afternoon.

It's more that it seems insane to be getting that many from pret, unless you work there or opposite one it seems highly time consuming, and costly. Just buy a coffee machine for your home or office?

Heh, the leon one is 5 subscription coffees a day but you need to wait an hour between coffees. No grabbing 5 coffees for the office at once.
