Its a friends birthday who is really into photography and rather than getting him a 'how to' book I want to get him a really nice book full of amazing photos, a decent size, printed on quality paper.

He's mentioned a couple of names of photographers that he follows online but I cant remember their names now.

Hes into a range of photography, travel, portrait, street, landscape.

budget, £60.

cheers,

although places like photobox loxley etc do high quality photo books i have a feeling that you may struggle on the images themselves. I presume you'll just be saving high quality jpegs from the internet or something to use in the album?

If you can get your hands on it I would 100% recommend "Back Passport" It's a photo book by Stanley Greene, fashion photographer turned war photographer. There's some amazing photography in there and it's also somewhat biographical too. It incorporates all parts of what you're looking for, travel, portrait, street (in wars too), and some landscape.

Although it's a small book the quality of it is really nice. It's very hard-hitting.

"Magnum is a photographers collective started by Robert Capa, Henri Cartier-Bresson and others.

This large coffee table book shows off their best shots and their best is pretty damn good.

So good you should first get your photo on the cover of National Geographic more than once before even applying to join.

Have a look at this book and you will see why they can be so selective."
