I consider myself to be quite good at RTS games...I've completed quite a few, generally do well in skirmishes etc. I've never been 'great' at them, but good enough to complete campaigns.
But CoH really has me beat.
I can *just* about beat the AI on easy, but me and a mate (whos as crap as I am) lost to 2 AI last night on easy. I'm disgusted.
Any tips? My main difficulty is the multitasking - managing your attacks, your defences, your base expansion/upgrades/reinforcements.
What are peoples general tactics? I try and take at least 1/2 the maps resources using engineers/riflemen, then try and reinforce the 'front line' with a variety of tanks, anti-tank and anti-infantry. Build up a decent front line, then try and capture points. But I find that while I'm moving forward to capture points, I'm getting my existing ones taken off me.
How much do people rely on sandbags, tank traps, barbed wire and mines? I don't tend to use them much...?
Suggestions?
