My Setup: Click

thats how i knew what psu you had. soon as i saw the thread i knew what it was going to be anyway lol had that many problems with ocz

hmm just breezing over the ocz forums- a reply from ocz staff:

The name of this noise is called "coil whine", you can google this term to understand it's reasons. Usually components pulling a lot of 12V power that do not respect the ATX spec 100% cause one of the 12v rails to whine. It's not a fault in itself, most psu's will do this power depending on the components hooked to it.

Hopefully you find the answer to your questions with this search term.

Regars,
Simon

thats cool then, i can oc my cpu back to 4ghz and not be concerned, if i can put up with the noise lol its not very loud, but it is noticible.

ah well could have been worse news eh

my corsair psu does that same whine when its not plugged into the montherbaord connector, as soon as it is it shuts up.

perhaps google is hacking into your pc trying for world domination :p
