Coil whine

First off welcome too the gigabyte coil whine club :P

Literally all you can do is make sure the paste/pad's are really good quality and that your psu is of good quality past that you really cant do much sadly.

Sad fact is they make good card's but skimp on somethings i personally went evga 680 classified (crazy money but crazy quality) too the gigabyte gtx980 g1 gaming and i could tell the difference in quality straight from the get go.

I only get coil whine when the fps is above 400 like in some menus or old games with no fps limit. Yours change with the fps?

I've heard a low coil whine when my fps hits close to a thousand or more but even at 4 or 5 hundred my Fury is silent plus I limit it's fps to about 140 (even though my monitor is only 60hz) nowadays anyway. I'm on a 5 year old Corsair TX850 bronze psu and that seems to do a great job as I've yet to have coil whine issues with any of my cards.
