Has anyone experience similar problem to this?

Few weeks ago i brought the Big multipack Cans of coke (Cardboard Boxes) and they tasted like it had lime in them, I took them back and got a different box. Had the same taste of a tangy lemon/lime. (Not just taste, you can smell it too)

Went back & Decided to get the Cokes, that are wrapped up in the plastic. Got home tried them out and they tasted perfect.

Finished that lot of cans, now thought to try The cans from the Cardboard box again, Got home and they tasted fine, Finished that box, Got another box and now they taste like Lemon/lime again. Not as bad, But i can get a hint of it though.

Is this possible that CocaCola has mixed it funny, Bad batch or something? The Boxes are far cheaper than the Plastic wrapped versions.

:confused::confused::confused:

Stop eating limes before you drink stuff.

I've been banned from a pub before for refusing to pay for a Coke as I knew it wasn't real coke or their syrup had gone off.

I also only buy cans made in GB as foreign ones taste different. So if this guy says they tasted different I believe him.

Have you changed your bodywash lately? Maybe that's why sometimes you taste of lemon/lime.

I remember this very convo on this forum at some point. Don't use the mint on your dangly bits, you will burn.

Probably an american import, they use that disgusting H-FCS in practically everything.

(Comment probably completely inaccurate, but dear lord is that stuff just awful.)

nope your correct. its in everything. you can get throwback pepsi & mountain dew made with sugar though.

What is the 'throwback' then? Was going to get some Mountain Dew of a website but they only had throwback and I didn't know what it was :confused:

Funnily enough, I have noticed that tins tend to be susceptible to flavouring for some reason or other. For example, I had a tin last night from my parent's fridge which basically tasted like soda water - I'm guessing the syrup was missing. I then had another can at my grandad's - which he keeps in his shed. I've said for years the coke from his shed always tastes different.

Never noticed if it's an import or not, but both my parents and grandparents shop at the same Tesco...
