Hi everyone,

I have bought a new MSI laptop and from a cold boot when I login to Windows the screen goes black for a few seconds and is then back to normal and no further issues. If I restart the device it is fine, it just seems to be the first boot of the day. Is that normal?

Thanks

Windows 11 by any chance? I have the issue since the last update but it doesn't happen often.
I had one recently too but only once so far.
After I entered my pincode it just went to a black screen, no mouse, keyboard seemed to do nothing.
I hit the power button on my pc and it said shutting down :S

been fine since

Could it be fast startup? Turn that off and see if it helps. It basically hibernates the PC when shutting down so it doesn't have a proper full shutdown/startup, while restarting will actually properly do this.

Thanks everyone, I do have Wind 11 installed. It seems to happen differently to you guys though, it happens after desktop has loaded. I will have a look at fast startup. Cheers.
