cold boot probs on p35-ds3r

when at stock the board is fine .
but when clocked system will not cold boot, all system fons come on but board will not post.switch psu off and on and it boots at defaullt bios settings.
latest bios is installed.
any ideas
feel im wasting this Q6600 at stock

Sounds like your overclock isn't stable and the BIOS is restting things.
Adjust things and try again.

the overclock is prime stable 6 hours . gaming with bioshock , lost planet etc totaly stable. the system is normally left on 24/7 and NEVER crashes.
if u shut down and then start it up its fine but when left overnight will not boot.

Lower it anyway and test.
