Just got my PC today and set it all up. Put it on the desk to test it and it worked ok. Put it down on the floor, and then all of a sudden it turns on for 5 seconds, turns off and goes into a loop of that. My floor is such that it's got a wooden desk side on the left of the tower and a section of desk at the back of the case. Its a thin carpet that the tower is on also. Clean.

These are the specs

Corsair carbide 500R case
OCZ ZS 650W PSU
Intel I5 3570k CPU (@4.4ghz, oc'd before arrival)
Gigabyte Z77 D3H motherboard
Prolimatech Megahalem CPU Cooler
Samsung Green 8GB RAM
KFA2 2GB GTX 670
Barracuda 7200RPM 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache
Intel 330 series 120GB SSD
Windows 7 64 bit home premium

BenQ 2420T
Corsair K90 keyboard
Logitech MX performance mouse
Creative A60 2.0 speakers

Spoke to OCUK and they are taking it back to fix. Just wondered if anyone had any ideas as to what could be the issue, incase there's a chance it happens with the next one  Seems such a weird problem to work on the desk but not on the floor?

is it a carpet floor? also is the psu fan facing down? as it could be taking all the airflow from the fan. Would advise you to make sure that its on a hard surface not carpet

Could a thin carpet really take all the airflow from the fan? Didn't check which direction the fan was facing truth be told. I'll send a webnote queery for when it's returned to me. Hopefully all is well.

At least the keyboard is bottom kicking material. Really like that K90. After using membrane for so long I wasn't sure the hype was worth it. It is.
