I would like to use some CC's outside of my pc. I know the obvious answer is to get a PSU to run them off but i don't like the idea of it using the paper clip method to keep it running. Are there any other ways? I don't know anything about electronics....

i bought a nice clip that goes over the 24-pin and ESSENTIALLY does the same as the paperclip mothod, but looks nicer and i dont worry about getting electrocuted :p :p :p

PC cathodes will be 12v dc into the inverter/transformer thingy. Just search for 12v 3a adapter, you'll see laptop style chargers. These can easily be rigged into a lighting setup. You could even get a matching jack for the adapter so you don't have to butcher the cable and easily change it if it conks out. 3amps at 12v should be plenty
