Cold Sores

As the title says, COLD SORES!!

One of the most annoying inconvinient things in life that make you think you're hideous to everyone you come into contact with.
I get them a lot, mainly when stressed, to which i am at present, I was just wondering if any of you lot get them as much or as bad as I do, what are you're triggers, and does anyone have any remedies as to getting rid of the blighters asap?

I've tried those, the patches were alright but kept falling off because i had one in an awkward place and i soon ran out. Not cheap either

It's got chemicals in it that releases into the coldsore and prevents infection gettin in and making it crust. Yum. You can see cream a lot more tbh :/

I've tried pretty much everything under the sun and can even suggest some to others

but it's just the unpleasentness of it all

Right now because I have no money at the moment to get anything fancy and obtainable, Im using ice to numb the swelling, a green tea bag to clean it and then some alcohol to sterlize it. Gah. the paaaain.

Very true, but a lot of the time for me, they just blow up overnight.
Not literally.

Creams dont work for me, if anything it makes it spread, I have Cymex, Vaseline, avlon, Germolene, none of them work.

Im asking for more home remedies really as Ive tried everything else.
And believe me, I have burned them before now on products that did nothing but make it bleed

Also Nail Polish Remover.

Oh and I know vaseline isnt a cream but it stops infection from gettin into it apparently

I should go to doctor really, maybe they can perscribe something that'll stop it... but a lot of people I've asked who've gone to the docs for it have said they stuff the give them doesnt even work :/ and if a lot of things I've already tried dont work then, what hope is there

It's every good few months, or whenever I've had a cold or feel stressed. I should really, but for now I just want rid of it.

Earwax or the stuff behind your ears are supposed to work :confused:
